A Kenyan Governor and his deputy have change into the worst hit by a poorly constructed infrastructural group challenge.
Governor Alfred Mutua of Machakos County, authorities officers, journalists and excited residents of Ogembo city, fell into a river beneath a poorly constructed pedestrian bridge in Kenya.
Famzn News gathered that they had been taking a selfie whereas commissioning the bridge when the incident occurred.
A witness recognized as James Mabiria stated the Governor and the deputy had been rushed to the hospital after plunging into the river whereas taking the selfie.

Kisii Deputy Governor Joash Maangi, Mutua had been the worst affected by the incident and have been taken to Ogembo hospital at Kisii County.

Radio Citizen reported that Mutua stated, “I have been baptised by River Gucha and now I must build a house in Gucha.”

Meanwhile, Kisii Communication Director, Maseme Machuka confirmed that the bridge was weak.
According to Machuka, “The Governor and DG were unhurt in the incident and they went on to address residents before going for lunch.”
He additionally confirmed that two journalists had been taken to Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital with minor accidents.
The Ogembo Nyakorokoro footbridge was a challenge of the Economic Stimulus Project below the Constituency Development Fund by the Ministry of Public Works.
