The British Government has restated that it would not interfere in Nigeria’s 2019 elections, calling for free and fair polls.
This assurance came from the British Deputy High Commissioner Harriet Thompson in Umuahia, Abia State earlier in the week.
It was during Thompson’s visit to the Abia State Police Commissioner of Police, Chris Ezike.
“British Government is desirous of seeing Nigeria conduct credible elections. We are working closely with INEC,” she said.
“We will take them up on any allegation them. It is critical for INEC to provide an enabling environment for a free and fair election.”
