That is roughly equal to 70,000 prospects as many households purchase their gasoline and electrical energy from British Gas, so can have two accounts.
Last 12 months, the corporate misplaced 1.3 million power accounts.
Centrica mentioned there had been "excessive ranges of aggressive depth", however mentioned the speed at which it has been dropping prospects had been slowing.
The firm has about 18 million accounts to produce households with power.
