President Muhammadu Buhari and Paul Arkwright
British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Paul Arkwright has said the British government is concerned with a free and fair election in Nigeria in 2019.
Arkwright noted this recently during a meeting with the Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun State.
He called for a peaceful election in Ekiti State on Saturday.
As stated by him, “We want democracy to be entrenched in Nigeria; we are not interested in who becomes what but our interest is to ensure politics is practiced in accordance with democratic tenets and principles.
“We are only interested in a free, fair, credible and elections and smooth transition so as to deepen democracy in Nigeria.”
