Former Governor of Abia State Orji Uzor Kalu has mentioned President Muhammadu Buhari is a good friend to the folks of the South East.
Speaking throughout a assembly with stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the previous governor mentioned Buhari has been doing what former Presidents did not do within the area for 16 years.
Kalu mentioned: “Our South East governors promised to construct the second Niger Bridge however they didn’t do it. Obasanjo promised and failed. Goodluck Jonathan promised to do it however he didn't care to construct the bridge for Ndigbo.
“I don’t know why folks will say that Buhari hates the Igbos as a result of i do know Buhari very effectively. He is a good friend to Ndigbo. Am i not a good friend to President Muhammadu Buhari? I'm very near Buhari and I do know that come 2019 election, Abia State will give President Muhammadu Buhari 75 % of their votes.
“No matter how bad the country is, Nigeria remains our country and there is no other place we can run to. President Muhammadu Buhari doesn’t have a house in America or Germany. He only has a house in Daura and we should respect him for that, we should stop calling our leaders names on social media and painting our country bad before the world.”
