The weekly meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) which holds on Wednesday has been cancelled by the Federal Government.
As stated by reports, both President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo were not around to preside over the meeting.
President Muhammadu Buhari presides over the meeting, while Osinbajo steps in whenever the President is not available.
As of Wednesday, Buhari was rounding off his official visit to The Netherlands where he participated in the 20th anniversary of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, among other activities.
Osinbajo attended the 10th National Development Summit of Traditional Rulers in Abuja.
It was, however, learnt that the Wednesday meeting was cancelled late on Tuesday apparently because of Osinbajo’s tight schedule.
As of the time of filing this report, no official reason has been given for the cancellation of the meeting.
