President Muhammadu Buhari has rejected Radiographers Registration Amendment Bill handed by lawmakers and transmitted to him for signing into legislation.
Buhari in a letter to the National Assembly cited two causes for rejecting the invoice.
The letter learn: “Pursuant to Section 68(four) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999, as amended, I hereby convey to the Senate my determination on the 26th June 2018 to say no the presidential assent to the Radiographers Registration Amendment Bill lately handed by the National Assembly.
“This is because of the growth of the scope of individuals lined by the invoice which we're involved would create disharmony within the well being sector between radiographers and radiologists who're regulated individually.
“I also note that there is a minor error in Section 2(a) of the amendment bill where the word “substituting” is mis-spelt as “substitituting.”
