The Federal Government just this morning, sacked chief executives of all major parastatals in the Ministry of Information.
The Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, who announced the removal of the executives at a meeting he held with them in Abuja Monday morning, stated the removal takes immediate effect.
Those affected are Director Generals of NIgeria Television Authority, Sola Omole, Federal Radion Corporation of Nigeria, Ladan Salihu, Voice of Nigeria, Sam Worlu, National Orientation Agency, Mike Omeri, National Broadcasting Commission, Emeka Mba and the Managing Director of News Agency of Nigeria, Ima Niboro.
While thanking the affected officers, Mohammed directed them to hand over the affairs of the respective agencies to the most senior in the agencies.
All the affected officers were appointees of the Goodluck Jonathan led PDP administration which ended in May 29 2015.
