Former Minister of Aviation Femi Fani-Kayode has described President Muhammadu Buhari’s Democracy Day speech as a “tale told by an idiot.”

Recall that Buhari had during the speech stated that the Boko Haram sect has been degraded with several persons captured by the terror group regaining freedom.

“Today, the capacity of the insurgents has been degraded leading to the re-establishment of authority of government and the release of captives including, happily, 106 Chibok and 104 Dapchi girls, and over 16,000 other persons held by the Boko Haram,” the president had said.

However, Fani-Kayode in a tweet described the speech as uninspiring and full of lies, deceit and false narratives.

“I was disgusted with @MBuhari’s Democracy Day speech,” Fani-Kayode added.

“It was filled with lies, deceit, propaganda, false narratives, questionable assertions, fake facts and figures and Goebbelian mendacity and falsehood. It was a tale told by an idiot: full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.”
