Former Minister of Aviation Femi Fani-Kayode has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of mendacity in an assertion saying the Nigerian Army was mushy on Biafrans throughout the civil conflict.
The President allegedly acknowledged this throughout an assembly with the Red Cross Society on the presidential villa.
However, reacting on Wednesday, Fani-Kayode accused Buhari of telling depraved and despicable lies in regards to the Igbo throughout the civil conflict.
He wrote: “One of the most wicked and despicable lies that President Muhammadu Buhari has ever told is that the Nigerian Army was “soft” on the Biafrans and “restrained” throughout the civil conflict, implying that our troopers didn't bask in genocide and mass homicide.
“A few questions will suffice. Was the Asaba bloodbath through which 1000's of harmless and defenceless younger boys and previous males have been slaughtered an act of restraint?
“Or was the killing of two million harmless and defenceless Biafran civilians and the premeditated and contrived ravenous to dying of 1 million harmless Biafran youngsters an act of restraint?
“For God sake the place is our humanity? Where is our sense of decency, our sensitivity and our sense of regret?
“Must we lie about our historical past and should we all the time deny the reality and try and revise it? No surprise they banned the instructing of historical past in our faculties. We merely have an excessive amount of to cover!
