Ferrari Classiche has completed the restoration of a beautiful 225E from 1952, after nearly two years of work.

Chassis number 0178 is in pristine condition once again, after it arrived in Maranello in a "terrible state of repair", as Ferrari states, after catching fire and sustaining heavy damage.

The vehicle has received a completely new interior, after the team had to examine all Ferraris of its kind built in the early 1950s, due to missing documentation, to ensure that it will remained true to its original design. On the outside, the classic Ferrari now sports a two-tone blue and white livery and work has been performed under the hood too, where its engine has been fully reconditioned.

Produced in May of 1952, the car was first owned by Count Antonio Sterzi, who raced it in the Mille Miglia the next month, with his co-driver, Nino Rovelli. Sterzi entered the 225E in the Coppa della Toscana, the same year, where it proved to be the fastest one, winning the gold medal, and it also raced at the Bolzano-Mendola hill climb and in the Coppa InterEuropa at Monza, for which it dropped its bumpers.
