Award winning singer, Yemi Alade launched her jewellery collection in collaboration with Bland2Glam recently at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, and top personalities in entertainment, politics, business and lifestyle came out in their numbers to support the singer. Among them were Lola Akande and Senator Florence Ita Giwa.
The Creative Director for Bland2Glam.com.ng, Seyi Banigbe said: “We are extremely grateful for the support of Nigerian women towards the Yemi Alade Collection and the Get Mented Initiative. There is nothing as lifting as seeing women supporting and helping other women and cheering them on as they journey through life.”
In her vote of thanks, the singer recollected her earlier days as an up-and-coming act and how women like Omawumi encouraged her to improve on herself constantly and encouraged other women to do the same since lifting another woman up is the same as lifting a whole nation up.
The different pieces in the collection were presented alongside inspirational messages by Toke Makinwa, Kemi Lala Akindoju and Comedienne, Chioma ‘Chigul’ Omeruah.
Notable personalities in attendance included Dolapo Ajibade, Osas Ajibade, Cynthia Morgan, Wana Sambo, Ozinna Anumudu, Denola Grey, Yvonne Ekwere, Beverly Osu, Denrele Edun and Zed Eye among a host of others.
Beat FM’s Maria Okanrende hosted the three hours event which climaxed with the official kick-off of sales of the collection.
