Premier League champions Leicester City will open the 2016-17 campaign as their meeting with newly promoted Hull City has been selected for broadcast.

The fixture will be shown live on Sky Sports at the new Saturday time slot of 12:30pm on August 13, as Claudio Ranieri's men look to defend their shock championship crown.

Pep Guardiola's Manchester City bow will be broadcast by BT as part of their new live package as his side host Sam Allardyce's Sunderland at 5:30pm on the same day.

Bournemouth's opening fixture, a home clash with Manchester United, and Liverpool's trip to Arsenal will also both be shown live on Sunday, August 14.

Jose Mourinho, who was unveiled as the new United boss on Tuesday, has never lost an opening Premier League fixture.

The Portuguese will meet Guardiola on September 10, with the clash set to be shown live by Sky Sports.

The first live Monday night game will be Chelsea vs West Ham, an 8pm kick off, as Antonio Conte takes charge of the beleagured former champions for the first time.

A number of fixtures have, or will, be been rearranged as a result of Europa League participation.
