Chelsea have no plans to sell Andreas Christensen or Baba Rahman and expect the defenders to return to first-team contention next summer, Goal understands.
Reports in Germany have claimed Borussia Monchengladbach are hopeful of signing Christensen permanently on the back of his impressive performances during the 2015-16 campaign.
Sources close to Chelsea have told Goal, however, that the Dane will play out the second year of his 24-month loan in Germany and then return to Stamford Bridge.
The situation is similar for Rahman, who is on the verge of completing a season-long loan move to Schalke after a difficult first season with the Blues.
The Ghanaian made just 15 appearances in the Premier League after joining the club from Augsburg and will leave temporarily in search of first-team football, but remains a part of Chelsea's long-term plans.
Christensen, who recently told Goal that his aim is to break into the Chelsea first team, has made one Premier League appearance since arriving in west London from Brondby in 2012.
