Residents of the Dead Sea area had been ordered to stay indoors on Friday afternoon as emergency companies labored to include a bromine leak from a close by manufacturing facility.
Police closed components of Route 90 to visitors over the leak and instructed residents of the Neot Hakikar and Neve Zohar communities to remain inside till additional discover.
The leak originated from a 17-ton tank of bromine.
Photos from the scene confirmed an orange fuel cloud gathering over the manufacturing facility.
Firefighters and emergency companies had been on the scene to seal the container and stop the chemical leak from spreading.
