
Actor Chiwetel Ejiofor was made a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) at London's Buckingham Palace by the Duke of Cambridge during an official ceremony yesterday, Tuesday, October 27.
The '12 Years A Slave' actor was overcome with emotion as he spoke to Prince William in front of the large crowd assembled, beaming with pride as he was recognised for his services to drama.
The actor, who grew up in north London, has an illustrious career, receiving an Oscar nomination and winning a BAFTA in 2013 for his moving performance in 12 Years A Slave.
