Chris Brown has told fans his next album will "probably" be his last as the troubled singer fears he is now only famous for his 2009 beating of Rihanna.

The Kiss Kiss hit-maker, who was convicted of assaulting the pop singer after a pre-Grammy Awards party, has released five records over the course of his career, and his sixth, X, is due to hit shelves later this month (Aug 2013).

The news comes amid a surge of bad publicity for Brown, who reported to a jail in California on Monday (05 Aug 2013) to be booked on a hit-and-run charge relating to a car accident in May (2013).
His probation stemming from his assault on then-girlfriend Rihanna was recently revoked, and he faces up to four years behind bars if found guilty of the hit-and-run.
His next court date has been scheduled for 15 August 2013.
