The Belgium striker's Twitter profile had a glaring mistake in it moments after he completed his switch to Crystal Palace from Liverpool for £32m on Saturday...
Christian Benteke’s anticipated move from Liverpool to Crystal Palace finally went through on Saturday, but someone should have told his social media manager. The Belgium international striker is celebrating the opportunity of having regular Premier League football once more, but perhaps the person who runs his Twitter account indulged just a little too much on Friday night.
Immediately after the deal taking him to Palace was made public, his profile was changed. Only, it read: ‘Burnleyl (sic) FC & Belgium national team.’ The 25-year-old was quick to offer his apologies, tweeting: “Oops my bad lol Yes I signed for cpfc and not burnley. Sorry for the little mistake the person that manages my Twitter got a little confused.”
