Tragedy was averted on Sunday in Gashua space of Yobe state as some locals impeded a feminine bomber trying to assault a mosque, the Army stated on Sunday.
Spokesman of military’s Theatre Command Operation, Col. Onyema Nwachukwu, stated the suspected Boko Haram fighter was detected whereas struggling to detonate a suicide vest strapped to her physique.

“What would have otherwise been a devastating suicide bomb attack on a mosque in Gashua village in Gujba Local Government Area of Yobe state has been successfully foiled today by vigilant members of the community,” the military official stated in an assertion.
“A feminine Boko Haram suicide bomber had infiltrated the mosque, whereas members have been about to start a prayer session however was detected when struggling to detonate a suicide vest strapped to her physique. She was shortly restrained by the locals, arrested and handed over to troops at Azare.
