Drugs have been found in "a communal space" of the constructing at 2 Marsham Street
Police have been known as to the Home Office after suspected Class A medication have been found within the division's headquarters.
Scotland Yard confirmed a "small amount" was found by safety workers at the Marsham Street constructing in central London on three May.
Officers seized the medication however added no additional motion was crucial and recommendation had been given to safety.
The Home Office stated it takes incidents of this nature "extraordinarily significantly" and applicable motion had been taken.
Reports within the Sunday Mirror counsel the substance found was crystal meth, possession of which can lead to a most sentence of seven years in jail.
A Home Office spokesman stated: "A small amount of medication was found inside the 2 Marsham Street property. The incident was referred to the police by constructing safety, who attended the positioning and eliminated the substance.
"The police suggested no additional motion was wanted.
"We take incidents of this nature extraordinarily significantly, at all times make sure that correct procedures are adopted and take applicable motion based mostly on the recommendation of the police."
The incident occurred a few days after Sajid Javid changed Amber Rudd as dwelling secretary.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman stated the medication have been found in "a communal space by safety workers" and police attended at 17:00 BST on three May.
"The substance was seized by officers and brought to a native police station. Advice was supplied to safety workers. No suspects have been recognized at this time."
