The Spaniard has complained that reporters are not interested in asking him about the sporting side of the game, with questions now all about his future
Outgoing coach Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola has expressed his frustration with the German media.
It was announced earlier this week that Guardiola will join Manchester City in the summer, with his pre-match press conference before Saturday's Bundesliga fixture against Bayer Leverkusen dominated by questions over his future, which prompted a frustrated response from the Spaniard.
"Coaches don't get any respect anymore. It doesn't matter what we say," he told the media. "Why don't you write about the wonderful words I say to my players before games?
"I don't know why coaches even give press conferences anymore. There are important papers here that have not even asked me questions about the sport.
"It was the right decision not to give [individual] interviews. Journalists must know why they are here. I love to talk about tactics - back three, back four and so on." Guardiola's men lead the Bundesliga by eight points over Dortmund, while weekend opponents Leverkusen are battling for a Champions League berth.
