A couple has managed to survive a tragic motor accident along Ijebu Ode/Ore express way on Sunday October 18, 2015.
The incident occured at about 3:36pm when their jeep plunged into a river from a bridge.
Eyewitness account revealed that the car owner was on top speed as he approached a dangerous pot-hole.

Swerving from the pot-hole, he lost control as the car dived off the bridge about 50metres deep into the river.
Immediately, other road users including tanker drivers parked their vehicles by the road side and made efforts to rescue the victims.
Their prompt effort paid-off as a man and a woman suspected to be couples were brought out of the water alive.

The driver sustained injuries as his face was covered with blood. The wife on the other hand was helped to sit by the road side as their car was swallowed by the river.
As at the time of filing this report, the car was still inside the river as other motorists made effort to take the victims to the hospital.
