A High Court in Dutse, Jigawa, has discharged and acquitted former governor Sule Lamido, who was standing trial following a suite instituted towards him by Jigawa state authorities.
The State authorities had dragged Lamido earlier than a Magistrate courtroom on fees of inciting disturbances, disturbance of Public Peace, legal intimidation and defamation of character.
The Defence Counsel, Yakubu Ruba, challenged the Magistrate courtroom on its jurisdiction to listen to and decided the modifications ready towards his client, on the bottom that the motion was not initiated in accordance to the availability of part 141 of the CPC Law of Jigawa State.
