IGP Ibrahim Idris
A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has fastened September 25 for judgement on a go well with filed by the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Ibrahim Idris, in opposition to the Senate.
Justice John Tsoho set the date after listening to IGP’s lawyer, Alex Izinyon (SAN), argue on behalf of his client and urged the court docket to grant the plaintiff’s prayers.
The Police IG is difficult the propriety of the May 9 decision of the Senate, describing him as “enemy of democracy and unfit to hold any public office within and outside Nigeria.”
Idris is praying the court docket to, amongst others, quash the decision of the Senate as a result of it lacks the powers to declare him unfit to carry public workplace in Nigeria or elsewhere.
