Four officials of Edo State Government and others arrested for alleged cult activities would be charged for terrorism by the police. As stated by a source close to the police headquarters, the arrangements were already ongoing to arraign those arrested for terrorism as directed by the IGP who was stated to be poised to use his home state, Edo as a case study in his fight against heinous crime. The state Chairman, Committee on War Against Indiscipline, Mr. David Olukoga, and three others were among those arrested on Wednesday by a special squad of the Nigeria Police Force dispatched from Abuja by the IGP. The suspects were arrested on alleged complicity and murder of 10 Nigerians in the last one month in Edo State. However, Edo State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Stephen Onwochie stated investigations are still ongoing, adding that if the suspect are to be charged, it would be based on the outcome of investigation.
