Disgraced DSS boss Lwan Daura
Recently fired Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Lawan Daura, will remain under house arrest, Famzn News has reliably learned.
Sources in the Presidency inform that immediately after acting President Yemi Osinbajo relieved Daura of his duties on Tuesday, he was arrested right inside the Presidential Villa by police operatives.
And it was learned from one of the sources that ”he will remain there until several investigation over certain issues bordering on him are concluded.”
Daura lost his job for ordering operatives of the DSS to lay siege to the National Assembly on Tuesday, preventing lawmakers from entering the complex in the morning.
Meanwhile, Senate President Bukola Saraki has commended Osinbajo for dismissing Daura.
Addressing a world press conference on Wednesday, Saraki said ”Mr. Acting President did the right thing” after describing the blockade as embarrassing.
He said, “I thank the Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, for his handling of the situation we were all confronted with yesterday (Tuesday). His decisive action went a long way towards restoring confidence.”
