The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Delta State branch has expelled six members of the party in Udu Local Government Area over alleged anti-party activities.
Five councillors in Ughelli North Local Government Area were also placed on one month suspension for levelling false allegations against the Chairman of Ughelii North Local Government Area, Kenneth Ibru.
The state chairman of the party, Tony Uzor, made this known during a stakeholders' meeting of the party attended by party faithful from Udu and Ughelli North Local Government Areas held at the state party secretariat in Asaba, during the week.
Tony Uzor said the stakeholders’ meeting became necessary in order to bring aggrieved members of the party together in the crisis raging council areas as well as to enhance the success of the party in subsequent elections in the areas.
