Protocol Zero is looking to expand outside of Gear VR.

Mobile developer DeNA announced today it will release its first-person action game to more platforms, including Google VR and other headsets, with the help of developer Sidekick VR. Protocol Zero originally came out for the Samsung Gear VR last year. So far, it’s DeNA’s first and only VR game. Sidekick VR will work on that version of the game, which includes adding support for the Gear VR gamepad. SuperData Research expects the VR industry to generate $2.9 billion in revenue in 2016.

Sidekick has worked on other VR games, including Romans from Mars 360, which was a launch title for the Samsung Gear VR.

“Our goal was to partner with a best-in-class mobile VR game publisher to expand Protocol Zero’s reach,” said Jennie Sue, senior business development manager of DeNA West, in a press release sent to GamesBeat. “Sidekick VR’s commitment to creating engaging content and their expertise within the cross-platform mobile VR marketplace makes them a perfect fit for continued publishing and expansion of Protocol Zero.”

Protocol Zero’s Google Cardboard version will come out this summer for iOS and Android devices.
