It was expected that the DSS will comply to the orders of Justice Adeniyi Ademola led Abuja Federal High Court, but armed operatives of DSS have refused to vacate the residence of Ex-NSA Sambo Dasuki.

A source gathered that the Nigeria Secret Police still lay siege at Dasuki’s No 13 John Kadiya Street Asokoro residence as at 8pm today (13/11/15).

Justice Ademola had today lambasted the Department of State Security Services (DSS) over its refusal to allow former National Security Adviser (NSA), Col. Sambo Dasuki travel to the United Kingdom for medical treatment and putting him under house arrest.

DSS besieged Dasuki’s residence on November 3 after the court ordered that his passport be released granting him the leave to travel abroad for medical treatment.

Counsel to Federal Government, Mr Shuaibu Labaran who declined to confirm or deny the presence of the security operatives in the house of Dasuki, in breach of the court order, however admitted that the former NSA was being investigated in another money laundering matter.

Dasuki (rtd) pn Monday filed a suit against the Federal Government at a Federal High Court in Abuja seeking enforcement of his fundamental human rights to dignity and security of his life.

He pleaded with the court to stop the siege laid on his house and to remove all impediments, human and non-human barricade and bulwarks stated to have hindered the permission granted him since November 3 to travel abroad for treatment of his ailing medical condition.

DSS on their own part attributed their action to the refusal Dasuki to appear before the committee constituted by President Muhammadu Buhari to investigate the purchase of Arms during the past administration.

Meanwhile, Ademola had summoned the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Alhaji Abubakar Malami SAN to appear in court on Monday to explain the siege laid to Dasuki’s residence in the last two weeks.
