The former Manchester City defender posted a picture of a car on social media following the defeat to Jurgen Klopp's side, but was it aimed at critics?
Joleon Lescott did not have a performance to remember in Aston Villa's 6-0 defeat to Liverpool on Sunday and the defender only damaged his reputation further in the aftermath after he posted a rather cryptic message on social media later in the evening.
The former Manchester City and Everton player was criticised by fans as part of the Villa team that saw their worst home defeat since 1935, and he was hounded even further after he posted a picture of a fancy car just hours after the final whistle.
The tweet carried a picture of a custom Mercedes and although Lescott did not post a comment with the image, it prompted many to wonder where his commitment lies after such a brutally humiliating defeat at the hands of Jurgen Klopp's side. Whether or not Lescott meant the tweet as a way to hit back at his detractors, it has done nothing to endear him to the Villa fans.
