A Kogi State High Court has dismissed the assassination case involving the chairman, Association of Local Government of Nigeria, Taofiq Isa, instituted by Senator Dino Melaye (APC-Kogi West).
The lawmaker, had on April 2017 approached the courtroom over alleged assassination try on his life by Isa and 4 others.
Others charged alongside Isa embody, Ade Obege, Abdullahi Isah, Michael Bamidele and Ahmed Ajayi.
However, the trial decide, Fola Ajayi struck out the matter for need of diligent prosecution.
Ajayi lamented that regardless of 4 adjournments, the prosecution was not capable of name their witnesses.
Ruling on the matter, the trial decide held that the prosecution counsel couldn't open his case regardless of 4 adjournments, therefore he struck out the matter.
Ajayi, nonetheless, gave a consequential order for the prosecution to begin their case afresh every time they're prepared.
