The Ogun State chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the United Kingdom (UK) has urged the governor of Ogun State, Ibikunle Amosun not to rest on his oars, saying his second election was a well-deserved one. Speaking at a gathering of South-west leaders of the party in London, chairman of Ogun APC UK chapter, Mr. Segun Animashaun, described Amosun’s re-election as ‘a victory for the people of Ogun State and a sure glimpse into many other victories to be won by the APC and this administration, under the able leadership of Governor Ibikunle Amosun.’ “Governor Ibikunle Amosun has won this victory for the people of Ogun State and APC, making it possible for us to once again believe in the power of synergizing both voices and efforts of Ogun State people clamouring for good governance, which the APC and government of Senator Ibikunle Amosun has provided in the past four years in office as the governor. “We admire the resilience and the spirit of fair-play and sustained integrity and hard work of Governor Amosun, who out of his goodwill for Ogun State, persisted in his efforts and have finally secured a place in the hearts of the people of Ogun State,” the party boss stated in a statement made available to Daily Sun by the party’s Publicity Secretary of the party in UK, Prince Oladele Tinuosho. Animashaun said the Ogun APC in UK was grateful to Amosun for the successes and achievements he has recorded for the party in the last four years, especially in the areas of roads construction, industrial developments, education, infrastructural developments and social welfare of the people. The party urged the governor not to rest on his oars but continue to break new grounds for the benefit of the state and her teeming populace. While pledging its continued supports for the Amosun’s administration, the Ogun APC in UK noted that the re-election of the governor was ‘in the overall best interest of the state.’
