Blues icon Didier Drogba has turned down the opportunity to return to Stamford Bridge after confirming via social media he is set to start training with the MLS club
Didier Drogba is to return to training with Montreal Impact in February - ending the prospect of the Ivory Coast legend making a return to Chelsea.
There had been speculation that the forward could go back to the Premier League side for a third spell, with a place on the coaching staff muted, but instead he will remain in Canada.
The 37-year-old Blues legend took to social media on Sunday to confirm he would be returning to the MLS club, following some individual preparation in the Middle East.
Drogba - who scored 12 goals in 14 appearances last term - is expected to join the rest of the Impact players for the second part of Montreal's training camp from February 15 to 28 in Florida.
