The Department of State Security Service (DSS), Ogun State Command, on Tuesday, paraded two suspects for allegedly using a vehicle of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) to divert 45,000 litres of fuel to a private station in Oja-Odan in Yewa North Local government area of the State.

The fuel was meant for Kaduna, according to the DSS Director, Kabir Muhammed who paraded the suspects.

The suspects were Israel Folalu and Babatunde Adeoye. The truck was with registration number (Lagos) KSF 443 XJ.

Mohammed said, "Preliminary investigation revealed that the truck lifted PMS (Premium Motor Spirit) from NIPCO Oil Deport, Apapa, Lagos State on April 26, 2016, with its original destination specified as Nabila Oil Mil Nigeria Limited, Tokarawa, along Hadeja road, Kaduna, Kaduna State before it was diverted to the aforementioned filling station in Oja Odan. The initial plan to have the truck diverted across the border to Benin Republic failed".

He added the suspects had been granted bail, disclosing that at the end of investigations, the suspects may be charged to court.
