The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested former Acting chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Uche Secondus, Famzn has gathered.
The reason for this is yet to be ascertained as at press time.
Secondus recently stepped aside for the emergence of former Governor of Borno State, Ali Modu Sheriff, who is now the party chairman.
Recall that series of arrests have been made across the rank and file of the party. The chain of arrests had also been traced to the arms fund allegedly received from the Office of the National Security Adviser as headed by Sambo Dasuki under the previous administration.
Meanwhile, the subsisting yet prominent of the party’s executives was the arrest and trial of the its spokesperson, Chief Olisa Metuh, who allegedly collected a sum N400m from the office.
There have also been somewhat ascension in the level of arrest made overtime in connection with arms deal.
This may not be unconnected to the arrest of Secondus.
Efforts to reach Wilson Uwujaren, the spokesman of the Commission through his phone line has been futile as he could not be reached.
