This is the unbelievable moment an egg froze within seconds after it was cracked open outdoors in China's coldest town.
Footage shows a man breaking a raw egg onto a metal surface in northern China where the temperature dived to minus 40 degree Celsius on Sunday.
The egg froze as soon as it hit the surface and turned into a frozen 'fried egg' as the man poked it just seconds after.

The footage is said to be taken in Huzhong district, Daxing'anling Prefecture of Heilongjiang Province, on January 21, according to Youku.
The area is said to be the coldest of anywhere in China.
The extreme cold weather in Huzhong last week has also seen instant noodles turned into an ice column. The frozen noodles could stand on their own and even support a pair of chopsticks.

Similarly, a bottle of red tea has turned into ice as soon as it was poured out in the air.
Villager Wang Ping, who did the tests, told China News that 'this is the real iced tea' and said the noodles had turned into ice in one minute.
Wang recommended people to visit Huzhong to experience the fresh, clean air and the snow.
