Lawmakers in Ekiti state have dismissed the apology tendered by former Governor of the state Kayode Fayemi.
Fayemi, who's Nigeria’s Minister of Mines and Steel, had apologised to Ekiti folks shortly after rising because the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the July 14 governorship election.
The former governor, who served the state from 2010 to 2014, apologised to the folks over his shortcomings throughout his first tenure.
But Leader of the House, Akinyele Olatunji, stated the minister’s apology got here too late, urging folks of the state to disregard him, as he believes Fayemi apologised with a view to get votes.
He stated: “Fayemi can’t proceed to deceive the nice folks of Ekiti State. He had been suggested lengthy prior to now to tender his apology to the folks, however he rebuffed the well timed recommendation.
