A former governorship aspirant below the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, Opeyemi Bamidele, has been flown to the United Kingdom for additional remedy.
It was gathered that the ex-House of Representatives member was flown in a personal jet belonging to a former Governor of Lagos State and National Leader of the APC, Bola Tinubu, on Friday night time after receiving remedy at Euracare Multi-Specialists Hospital on Victoria Island, Lagos.
Bamidele and 5 others had been shot at a reception rally organised for the All Progressives Congress candidate for the forthcoming Ekiti State governorship election, Kayode Fayemi, on the party’s secretariat in Ado Ekiti on June 1.
He was flown to Lagos final Sunday in an air ambulance after medical doctors on the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti, extracted two bullets from his stomach and leg.
