The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has said the governorship poll in Ekiti State was a huge success.
INEC’s Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state, Abdulganih Olayinka, noted this on Sunday in Ado-Ekiti, the capital.
As stated by Olayinka, while fielding questions from the press, the exercise recorded little or no hitches.
“Except for Agboyin Local Government Area where it was alleged that ballot materials were scattered on the ground and in one or two places where the card reader malfunctioned, all was well,” he said.
He added that INEC had addressed all problems identified before the electoral process, stressing that no “incident form” was used in the election.
