AZ and Netherlands striker Vincent Janssen has said he hopes to make a transfer this summer, admitting he is open to a Premier League move.
The 21-year-old finished top scorer in the Eredivisie in 2015-16 - his first in the league - with 27 goals in 34 games as AZ finished third.
Janssen has emerged as the national team's greatest hope for the striker role as they plan for life without Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and Robin van Persie. The former Almere City man has scored three goals in his first five games for Danny Blind's side, helping the Dutch to a 2-0 win over Austria on Saturday with the opening goal.
The former Almere City star's incredible form over the last year has seen him linked to Arsenal and is believed to have attracted interest from many teams across Europe, and he has revealed he hopes to make a step up immediately.
"I want to make a step, that is clear," he told Fox Sports after his side's win. "But there is no white smoke just now.
"England? We will see. Maybe something will happen in the holidays. I will take my phone with me anyway."
The attacker nodded in a Steven Berghuis cross to give Netherlands an early lead at the weekend, and he feels he is deserving of his starting role ahead of Luuk de Jong and Bas Dost.
"I got a good cross from Steven Berghuis and knocked it in on purpose. Luckily the goalkeeper could not reach it. I'm glad I've been given the trust and started three games in a row. If you can then end up with two goals and two wins, you might talk about two successful weeks.
"I intend to be in the starting XI when we return to the national team in September. Then the World Cup qualifying campaign starts and we'll see who there is in the striker role, but I think I've shown that I belong there."
