The Antalyaspor boss, who worked alongside Jose Mourinho for six years, was taken to hospital on Wednesday and is unlikely to be in the dugout against Fenerbahce
Antalyaspor coach Jose Morais remains under observation in hospital having suffered a suspected brain haemorrhage.
Morais, who worked alongside Jose Mourinho at Porto, Chelsea, Inter and Real Madrid, was admitted to hospital on Wednesday with severe headaches and has been kept in overnight.
The 50-year-old left Chelsea along with Mourinho in January following his sacking and was linked with the vacant manager’s position at Swansea before joining the Turkish Super Lig club in January.
Although he is still under observation, Morais' current condition is thought to be fine, but Antalyaspor are set to make a statement later in the day.
The Turkish club have endured a troubled season so far, currently lying in 14th place in the Super Lig table amid fan unrest.
A section of the club’s support descended on training recently to protest over the dire campaign, though were calmed down by skipper Samuel Eto’o after he took selfies with the fans.
Next up for Antalyaspor is a home match against league leaders Fenerbahce on Friday – who are five points clear at the top – though there are huge question marks over whether Morais will be able to attend.
