Alongside a few crazy Ford GTs, twin-turbo Lamborghini Gallardos remain some of the world's fastest and most powerful street-legal cars.
Prior to a Huracan from Underground Racing becoming the world's fastest street car across the half mile, numerous records were held by a range of UGR Gallardos and the following example in the UK is among the tuning company's finest creations.
This Gallardo currently resides in the United Kingdom and has been installed with UGR's balls-to-the-wall 2R tuning package, making it the only of its sort in the UK.
Thanks to a set of custom billet turbochargers, new wastegastes, stainless steel exhaust, bespoke air filters, high flow water pump, high flow intercooler water heat exchange, billet rods, custom pistons, new cylinder heads, upgraded fuel injections and dozens of other engine modifications, it pumps out 2200 hp at the crank on race fuel. When running on 93 octane fuel, wheel horsepower drops to around 1100.
Despite all of these changes, the car looks completely stock with the custom ADV.1 wheels, semi-slick tires and Underground Racing stickers the only indication of its true self.
The listing on Auto Trader fails to reveal if the car has competed in any drag racing events in the UK however, with a 199,995 GBP price tag, you'd be hard pressed to find a faster car for the money.
