Twitter account of immediate past governor of Lagos State, Babtunde Fashola, came under attack by hackers on Saturdy.
Fashola had come under criticism for his website, www.tundefashola.com, which the Lagos Public Procurement Agency said cost N78.3m to upgrade between 2014 and 2015.
The website, as of August 10, displayed the activities and achievements of Fashola while in office and had a link to the website of Fashola’s wife, Abimbola.
Fashola’s website displays the activities and achievements of Fashola and also has a link to the website of Fashola’s wife, Abimbola.
However, the ex-governor’s Twitter page, @tundefashola, had five posts which displayed Japanese text, Punch reports.
A link displayed in one the posts redirected users to a fake website, brfashola.org, which was similarly bombarded with Japanese text.
The heading on the website, when translated, read, “I want to fulfill the unrequited love! Introducing love with one hundred percent hit love fortune-telling site!!”
