Ilesa Motor Park in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, was, yesterday morning ,thrown into deep morning following the death of a man simply identified as Moshood after he was electrocuted.
The father of five, fondly called Majoko, reputed for assisting the community people in electrification work through the permission of Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) was on an electric pole to fix an electrical fault for the people during a power outage but was electrocuted when the PHCN suddenly restored power to the area.
Based on what was gathered, the late Majoko, a fridge repairer, was allegedly invited to help connect a line that was stated to be overlapping at Zone C, Road 7, in Ago Ayo community which led to power outage when the incident happened.
The incident threw the community and passers-by into panic for several hours, leaving his wife, five children and family members in shock.
The PHCN Public Relations Officer, Osogbo Region, Miss Like Owoeye, who confirmed the incident, stated the PHCN had always been educating people to report every fault to avoid causality.
