The Sampdoria president voiced his concerns over officials' bias following a third consecutive league defeat, this time at the hands of Serie A leaders Napoli
Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero has suggested his side are the victims of refereeing bias following his side's 4-2 home defeat to Napoli.
Vicenzo Montella's men were reduced to 10 men for the second time in three games when Mattia Cassani was shown his second yellow card of the game on 59 minutes on Sunday.
Ferrero was also left frustrated after seeing Napoli awarded an early penalty which helped put the league leaders two goals ahead inside the opening 20 minutes.
“It makes you think,” the 64-year-old told Mediaset Premium.
“For the last three games every decision has gone against us and that’s not right. First with Carpi, then Juventus and now Napoli.
“Every now and then we must be a bit objective, this really isn’t good enough. I am a sporting man and at times seeing so many incidents go against your team makes you think.
“Is it just bad luck? I am angry because I’m not saying they have to favour my team, but if every decision goes against us…”
Sampdoria have dropped to 17th in the Serie A table following three successive defeats.
