The federal authorities on Tuesday conferred French President Emmanuel Macron with the honorary citizenship of Abuja.
The Federal Capital Territory Minister, Muhammad Musa Bello, additionally introduced the Key to the City of Abuja to President Macron.
The Minister stated the honour was a demonstration of robust friendship and cordial relationship between the individuals of Nigeria and France.
Speaking to newsmen on the go to, the French Ambassador to Nigeria, Denys Gauer, acknowledged that the go to underscores the very robust relationship between France and Nigeria.
Gauer also stated that France has ongoing safety and political partnerships with Nigeria particularly within the space of battle towards Boko Haram.
It was Macron’s first go to to Nigeria since his election in May 2017.
