The Federal Government of Nigeria has declared Friday, April 3 and Monday, April 6, 2015 as public holidays to enable the Christians mark this year's Good Friday and Easter Monday celebrations. The Minister of Interior, Abba Moro, made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government in a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Abubakar Magaji and made available to the media. "The Federal Government of Nigeria has declared Friday, April 3 and Monday, April 6, 2015 as Public Holidays. "This gesture is to enable the Christians in particular and Nigerians in general to extend the spiritual benefits of Easter celebration, which are love, peace, justice and kindness to their daily living," the release read partly. While wishing Nigerians happy celebration, the minister urged them to use the occasion to pray for peace and unity across the country.
