Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Friday visited Lagos to convey the condolences of the federal authorities to the state authorities on the tragic tanker explosion that occured on Thursday on the Otedola Bridge which claimed lives and properties.
Osinbajo, who spoke shortly after a closed door assembly with the state Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, stated the federal authorities was deeply saddened by the incident.
He also stated that President Muhammadu Buhari had delegated him to go to the state to commiserate with the individuals of Lagos on the unlucky incident.
“I'm right here to commiserate with the federal government and folks of Lagos State on the tragedy that occurred simply yesterday. It’s a very horrible factor and all of us had been deeply saddened by it. Before Mr. President left this morning, he requested me to precise his honest condolences to his Excellency and in addition to the individuals of the State. It’s a very deeply saddening occasion and we pray this kind of factor won't ever repeat itself.
