Five activists placing on a play in regards to the horror of human trafficking have been allegedly kidnapped and gang-raped at gunpoint in India’s japanese state of Jharkhand this week, police stated on Friday.
The ladies, who work with a non-governmental organization (NGO) supported by native Christian missionaries, have been staging road performs towards human trafficking in Khunti, a predomitly tribal district on Tuesday, after they have been attacked.
“As the play was in progress, a group of six armed males got here on bikes and beat up the boys accompanying them.
“They then took the ladies away at gunpoint to the forests close by the place they have been s3xually assaulted,” a native police officer stated requesting anonymity.
The victims, aged between 19 and 35, have been later launched.
They filed a police criticism on Wednesday, whereas police arrested one of many suspects on Thursday and detained a number of extra for questioning.

Police stated the attackers have been supporters of Pathalgadi, a tribal system that considers the village council the only real authority governing the village and which doesn't recognise the state’s authority.

Media studies stated the rapists made a video and used it to threaten the ladies with publicity in the event that they complained.
