Ford has revealed its intention to roll out four SUVs across its brands in the near future.

While speaking at the Detroit Auto Show, Ford chief executive Mark Fields said that one of those four SUVs will be a Lincoln. Ford's head of global product development Raj Nair gave also said that rather than simply being updated or refreshed models, the four SUVs in question will be additional models.

USA Today reports that the four new SUVs will be launched for the US market and as a result, may not be entirely new.

As a matter of fact, it's suggested that the American automaker could begin offering some of its international SUV/crossover models in the States, such as the EcoSport available across Europe, China and other Asia Pacific markets.

Another one of these models could be a relaunched version of the Ford Bronco based on the Ranger pickup.

Concerning the Lincoln SUV, it's difficult to say what form it will take. The company already offers a compact crossover (MKC), midsize crossover (MKX) and full-size SUV with the Navigator.
